Origin Kansas City, a Wyndham Hotel

This was my fourth stay at this hotel and each time has only gotten better! The location of this hotel is close to the highway and yet, very quiet and relaxing. It is just a short drive to get anywhere in downtown KC, too. The rooms are clean and the beds are SO comfortable! Each room I've been in has had a great view of the city, too. I love the spacious bathrooms and the great lighting offered. The rooms also have Nespresso machines! The restaurant and bar have great food and great drinks so we were able to have a fun time just staying on property. Now, the thing that has truly made this hotel shine is their STAFF!! I have yet to meet someone working there that doesn't greet you with an instant smile and kindness. The staff have remembered me upon my return visits and that is something special. JJ, in particular, is one of the most friendly and lively people I have encountered. For this specific trip, we were in KC for my birthday and had originally booked an AirBnb for the night. Upon arriving to the location, we quickly realized that the property was nothing like the pictures and we made the choice to cancel our reservation. With it being later in the day, we were concerned about finding a new place to stay but decided to give Origin a call as I had just stayed here a couple of days prior. JJ answered the phone and you could just hear the smile in his voice. I asked him if it would be possible for us to get two rooms and ones that were close to each other so my friends and I weren't far apart. Although the hotel was very full for the evening, JJ was able to work out the perfect rooms for us! We headed to the hotel and when we arrived, JJ and the girl working the front desk with him (I believe her initials are JD) both remembered me from previous trips and greeted me and my friends with so much happiness. Also, once they heard it was my birthday, JJ insisted on making sure we had the best time and that we did!!

The staff was great and the cleanliness was up to snub

The property is fairly new, and quite whimsical with carousel horses out front, a nice billiards table, board games and lounge area off the main lobby. The staff was fantastic, the room was excellent, the restaurant was very, very good with an eclectic menu, comfy atmosphere and a great bar. Plenty of parking on site with easy access to the lobby and elevators from there.

Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Food in restaurant was delicious. Hotel had bikes to sign out to ride along Riverfront. Staff is very knowledgeable about the area and did not hesitate to give great suggestions of where to go to experience the best of Kansas City

The property is practically brand new and the staff was amazing especially Jay Jay called to inform of late arrival did not want to risk reservation being canceled he provided assurance that will not happy and greeted my family and I with a smile great customer service
